Herefordshire Community Foundation (HCF) is a local independent grant-making charity established in 2002 to help communities and individuals in need across Herefordshire. HCF uses donor funds invested (like George’s Fund), donations trust transfers, and funding for specific programs to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable, isolated, and disadvantaged people, primarily those living in the county of Herefordshire.
HCF supports charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups delivering public benefit to the wider community as well as individuals and families in need.
Since set up in 2002, HCF has distributed an amazing £6,000,000 to the county of Herefordshire.
To have a fund managed by HCF makes perfect sense to us as a family. Starting a charity from scratch takes a huge amount of work and due diligence which as well as working full time would have its added pressures. This way we can focus on raising the money and know that it is in the safest hands, going to the places and people that need the money, under the criteria that is important to us.
